And about here, Mindmistress is thinking, "The sooner we get there, the sooner I can turn this #$@%ing locket off!".

I've often wondered if that's a convenient out for her, to basically become Lorelie to escape whatever happens to be annoying her.

Remember, Lorelei controls whether I come back...or not. I trust her, but...

Suppose you could turn yourself into a two-year-old? And only the two-year-old you could control whether you became your mature self again?

Would you do that only to escape---annoyance?
